Nursery Funding

Nursery places are allocated in accordance with our Nursery Admissions Policy. Bentfield Nursery offers free early years provision for 3 and 4 year olds through the government funded 15 and 30 hours schemes, as well as funding for 2 year olds for those families that are eligible. All 3 to 4 year olds in England can get 570 free hours per year of childcare. This is usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year.

Bentfield Nursery has 24 places with 2 additional places in each year group which are ring fenced for children with Special Educational Needs

Voucher Payments
For Parents who are eligible, you can pay for Nursery Fees with Childcare Vouchers. Please contact our school office or your voucher provider to see if we use or are listed on your childcare voucher provider website.

School Lunches
School lunches are available to be booked for your child if they are staying during the lunch time period. The charge for a school lunch for a Nursery aged child is £2.75. Alternatively if you do not wish to purchase a school lunch, a packed lunch may be brought in from home.

Snack Money
A healthy snack is provided for every child at each session (Morning and Afternoon) – there is a small voluntary charge for the provision of this snack, 30p per session. Snacks will be billed for the entire term at the beginning of each term and will be based on the child's funding allowance.
e.g. 15 hours government funding received = 5 sessions per week x 30p per session so the snack charge each week is £1.50.

30 hours government funding received = 10 sessions per week x 30p per session so the snack charge each week is £3.
