Birch Class enjoyed baking rock cakes last week. Pupils followed instructions from a recipe from 1666 - The Great Fire Of London. After baking them in the oven for twenty minutes, the children were delighted with the results (and smell!) of their delicious cakes. They took some home for all to enjoy. Successful chefs!
BIRDMAN VISIT
Birch class had a visit from Alan Ames and a selection of his wonderful birds.
The children had a great time and learnt many new facts about the visiting birds.
Judging by the pictures below it would seem Birch class has a new member!
Welcome to Birch class page
Our school is looking fabulous this term, as every class has worked on displays based on the theme Appreciation.
In Birch class our display is What a Wonderful World.
Having listened to the song What a Wonderful World, made famous by Louis Armstrong, we talked about aspects of our world that were wonderful and then used pastels to draw our ‘wonderful world' - our planet Earth. We then worked in groups to collage the wonderful things in our world from the lyrics of the song.
What a Wonderful World – and we are really appreciate it!
This term our topic is Castles.
