BENTFIELD NURSERY APPLICATION

You should complete an application form as soon as possible to apply for a place at our Nursery ( please use this LINK or an editable pdf of this form can be found below)

Once you have completed this form return it to the school office along with a copy of your child's birth certificate (please do not send the original certificate to the school)

There are two nursery sessions per day in the Morning and in the afternoon for families entitled to 15 hours funded childcare - if you are a family who is entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare your child will have the opportunity to attend for full days at our Nursery (please see the funding form leaflet for further information regarding funding) You should indicate what hours your child will be attending on your application form.

The youngest children – age almost three until the July after their third birthday will attend for the afternoon session – 12:15pm-3:15pm.  Older children will attend Morning sessions - 8:45am-11:45am

The number of terms they will attend in the afternoon will depend on when their birthday is-

  • Birth date from 1st September – 31st December, the child will start in September and attend for three terms in the afternoon.
  • Birth date from 1st January – 31st March, the child will start in January and attend for two terms in the afternoon.
  • Birth date from 1st April – 31st August, the child will start in April and attend for one term in the afternoon.

If a year group is over subscribed, then the child will be placed on a waiting list according to the date of application

Children will be offered a fee paying place for the term in which they will be 3. If a child is unable to access this place, the next child on the waiting list will be offered a place. If a child is unable to join the nursery at this time, there is no guarantee that a place will still be available at a later date.

Nursery children are allocated a place with the expectation that they will attend for at least 15 hours of funded education from the term following their third birthday.

One terms notice is required if you no longer want to use the nursery place. This ensures the best possible use is made of available places.
