Bentfield Pupils Learn Life-Saving Skills

In PSHE recently, our year 5 pupils have been thinking about how to keep ourselves and others physically and mentally healthy. As part of this, we learnt some basic first aid skills including how to respond if finding someone injured and how to put an unconscious person into the recovery position. In addition to this, we’re delighted that Glenis and Geraldine were able to come into school to teach the children about how to perform CPR and the importance of this skill. They ran the session free of charge for the school and gave the children a brilliant opportunity to start to learn this vital skill, which could be life-saving in future. We are very proud that Glenis and Geraldine commented on how the pupils were polite, enthusiastic, engaged and asked meaningful questions. I know that the class thoroughly enjoyed the session and learnt a lot.

Glenis and Geraldine are very keen to teach CPR in as many local primary schools as possible and can be contacted on inframe90@aol.com
